A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the announcement that the club made on their official website that Moussa Sissoko will be out until April after undergoing surgery.

And unfortunately for the Frenchman, as well as Jose Mourinho’s men, the news is not good. The club have confirmed on their official website that he has undergone surgery on his knee.

It is suggested that he is expected to return to training in early April. Unsurprisingly, the news has not gone at all well amongst the Tottenham supporters on social media.

Spurs will have just seven league fixtures remaining by the time April arrives. So perhaps he may only be back in time for the final handful of games before the campaign concludes.

Plenty of Tottenham fans have sent messages of support to the midfielder. But there have also been a number of messages aimed at Daniel Levy.

The transfer window is now open, and some supporters feel that it is imperative that Tottenham make a new signing given how long Sissoko is going to be sidelined for.

It is a big blow for Spurs, with some fans expressing their disappointment at how the decade has started for Mourinho’s men.

Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the announcement…
