A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Turkish outlet Fanatik claiming that Spurs are one of the sides interested in signing Merih Demiral.

Demiral’s future has become a talking point with the 22-year-old proving to be a more peripheral figure for Juventus this season.

Fanatik claims that a number of clubs want the centre-back. Tottenham are battling with the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Leicester City to sign the Turkey international.

There seems to be a mixed response amongst Tottenham fans on social media. Understandably, plenty of fans cannot see a move happening.

The asking price is certainly a significant stumbling block.

But there are others who are clearly pleased about the links. They believe that he would be a fantastic addition to Jose Mourinho’s ranks if there is any chance of a deal – perhaps for a future window.

Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
