Spurs fans react on Twitter to links with Leeds loanee Ben White

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Sky Sports suggesting that Spurs are one of the clubs interested in signing Leeds United loanee Ben White.

White has been outstanding since moving to Elland Road in the summer. He was placed under immediate pressure with fan favourite Pontus Jansson leaving shortly after his arrival.

But the Brighton man has been fantastic for the Championship leaders. And his form has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League sides.

Sky Sports reports that Tottenham want the 22-year-old, while Liverpool and Chelsea are also looking at the centre-back. It is suggested that there is no break clause in his loan deal, so any admirer would probably have to agree to let him stay at Leeds for the rest of the season if they did agree a move.

Fans back move for White

And the large majority of Spurs fans appear to be delighted about the links. White is superb on the ball, completely comfortable driving out of the backline or producing a long-range pass to the opposite wing.

There are some supporters who are underwhelmed by the reports. The youngster is yet to play in the Premier League, and is perhaps not the marquee name that some were hoping for.

But most Spurs supporters seem to be extremely pleased. They are convinced that White is going to be a top player in the coming years.

And they are hoping that it is at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium where he realises his full potential.
