Spurs fans react on Twitter to Lautaro Martinez reports

A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Times claiming that the club have agreed a fee for Lautaro Martinez.

Most of the headlines surrounding Tottenham this summer have centred on the future of Harry Kane.

But actually, whether he stays or leaves, Spurs appear to be well on their way to enjoying an outstanding window.

They have signed a very good goalkeeper in Pierluigi Gollini. Serie A’s best defender last season, Cristian Romero has arrived. And Bryan Gil looks to very much be one for the future.

But perhaps the most exciting deal is yet to come. According to The Times, a fee has been agreed with Inter for Martinez. It is claimed that Spurs are ready to pay in excess of £60 million.

It would appear that Tottenham still need to agree terms with the Argentinian. But they are certainly in a fantastic position to beat Arsenal to the signature of the 23-year-old.

Unsurprisingly, the news has gone down incredibly well amongst Tottenham fans on social media.

Spurs appear to need at least one new striker this summer. Martinez is arguably one of the most exciting plying his trade in Europe right now.

He, of course, helped Inter to the Scudetto last season. And should he stay at San Siro, he could be playing in the Champions League.
