Spurs fans react on Twitter to Ibrahim Sangare interest reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Get French Football News claiming that Spurs are very interested in Ibrahim Sangare this summer.

Jose Mourinho has managed to make a couple of notable signings during this window so far. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joined from Southampton, while Joe Hart has signed on a free transfer.

Despite Hojbjerg’s arrival however, it appears that Mourinho is keen on strengthening his midfield options further.

According to Get French Football News, Spurs are very interested in Sangare after scouting the 22-year-old for an extensive period.

The report notes that Tottenham are yet to make a bid. And Toulouse feel that they are in a strong position. They will reportedly hold out for between £13.5 million and £18 million plus add-ons.

The news has received a somewhat mixed response amongst some of the supporters on social media.

Some are confused as to why Spurs may be targeting another midfielder when they already have a host of options in the middle of the park and appear to have bigger issues to address this summer.

However, there are plenty who are excited by the links. Sangare looks to have enormous potential as a holding midfielder.

And several of the fans have suggested that Tottenham would be making a brilliant move if they managed to land Sangare during the coming weeks.
