A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Independent over the weekend regarding Harry Kane’s future.

Kane has been sensational once again this season. He scored his 10th Premier League goal of the season in Saturday’s win over Leeds. It was also in that game that he provided his 11th assist of the campaign.

And it appears that Spurs are looking to reward the 27-year-old for his incredible form. The Independent reports that talks are underway regarding a new contract in North London.

The report notes that his current terms still have more than three years to run. But Daniel Levy is reportedly keen to make sure that Kane is happy at Tottenham.

It is claimed that he is in line for improved terms. He is currently on £200,000-a-week. And The Independent suggests that Kane is receptive to the idea of signing a new contract.

The report adds that Kane is happy to stay as long as he feels that Tottenham are in contention for trophies. He is attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest sides.

The news has, unsurprisingly, gone down incredibly well amongst Spurs fans on social media. Many have insisted that it would be a fantastic piece of business to tie him down for longer.

Kane is heading into what could be the peak years of his career. And it would be a huge statement if Tottenham could, once again, get him to commit to staying put for those years.

It must also be noted that the supporters would clearly be disappointed if any future announcements did not involve Kane and Son Heung-min receiving the pens to sign their respective contracts from each other.

Here is how some of the Spurs fans have reacted to the reports…
