A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on recent reports from the Daily Star suggesting that Daniel Levy wants Gareth Southgate if Mauricio Pochettino leaves.
Pochettino’s future has become a talking point once again with Spurs making an underwhelming start to the new season. They have won just three of their opening nine games and are already out of the Carabao Cup.

The Daily Star reports that Levy is not considering sacking Pochettino. But it does appear that he is making preparations for the Argentinian’s departure if he does move on in the future.
The report suggests that Spurs were ready to move for Southgate in the summer had Pochettino left after the Champions League final. And it seems that they still want the England boss.

The Star reports that the former Middlesbrough boss remains on their radar and is their number one target should Pochettino go.
Unfortunately for Levy, it does appear that it would not be a popular move to get Southgate in. Despite the success that he has enjoyed with England, the Tottenham fans seem to have no interest in seeing him come in.
The supporters have their doubts about Southgate’s ability in club management, particularly if he is going to succeed Pochettino. The majority of fans clearly hope that there is nothing in the reports.
Here is what some of the supporters are saying about the reports linking Southgate with the job at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
