Spurs fans react on Twitter to Gareth Bale reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mail concerning Gareth Bale’s future in North London.

Bale provided an emphatic reminder of what he can do at the weekend. The 31-year-old scored an outstanding hat-trick as Tottenham blew Sheffield United away on Sunday.

With the end of the season looming, there is plenty of uncertainty surrounding Bale’s future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But it appears that Daniel Levy is leaving the door open to the attacker staying for another year.

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs have first refusal to extend Bale’s loan into next season. And crucially, it is claimed that Levy will let their next manager decide whether they want him in the squad or not.

Based on his last two Premier League displays, it is hard to imagine the new boss having any qualms about holding onto Bale.

It certainly appears that the fans want the Welshman to stay. Several have taken to social media to express their delight at the reports, with many convinced that he must surely be kept.

Bale now has nine goals in 16 Premier League appearances. His record is all the more impressive when you consider that he has started just eight times.

‘Would be mad to not want Bale’

It may still be a gamble to make a move. Tottenham are paying Bale around £240,000-a-week, so it is not a cheap loan by any means.

But he has shown at several points throughout the season just how devastating he can be. So it makes sense that many fans want him still at the club next season.

With that in mind, here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the report claiming that Levy will let the next manager make a decision on Bale’s future…
