Spurs fans react on Twitter to Diego Carlos interest reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from La Razon claiming that Jose Mourinho wants Diego Carlos this summer.

Strengthening the defence has to be a priority for Spurs at the end of the campaign. Mourinho is yet to really settle on a consistent centre-back partnership. And they have been punished on numerous occasions.

According to La Razon, Tottenham want Diego, who has a release clause of around £63.9 million in his contract.

And it seems that Daniel Levy has a potential ace up his sleeve if he does decide to make a move for the 28-year-old.

La Razon reports that Sevilla are interested in Davinson Sanchez. And thus, the Colombian could be involved in a potential swap deal that sees Diego head to North London.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the reports have gone down well amongst some of the Spurs fans on social media. Admittedly, some have their doubts about the likelihood of such a deal.

‘If only’

But Sanchez has not had the best time with Tottenham. So if there is scope for a move to be discussed, many Spurs fans would implore the club to try and make something happen.
