Spurs fans react on Twitter to Danny Ings interest reports
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Sunday Mirror (16/5; page 73) claiming that Spurs are eyeing a summer move for Danny Ings.
Tottenham will almost certainly be on the lookout for at least one striker at the end of the season. Carlos Vinicius has struggled to stake a claim for a permanent move during his loan spell.
And of course, Harry Kane’s future looks set to be a key talking point. So it is no surprise to see Tottenham looking at potential striker signings.
According to the Sunday Mirror (16/5; page 73), Spurs are one of the teams keen on Ings. Everton, West Ham and Manchester City are also keen on the Southampton talisman.
The report noted that the Saints are hopeful that the 28-year-old will extend his contract with his current terms set to expire at the end of next season.
But if he decides to leave, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men will reportedly demand £30 million.
And it seems that plenty of Spurs fans would be delighted if Ings ends up in North London. Many have implored the club to bring him in as he could make a real difference.
Ings has scored 39 Premier League goals across the last three seasons. The highlight came last year when he found the back of the net 22 times on the south coast.
Some think his asking price is quite steep. But several have insisted that he would be a very good addition no matter what happens to Kane over the coming months.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans reacted to the reports…
Quality striker ✅

30 million for Danny ings. He’s about 10 maximum

If this is actually true and he is available for that cost, we should be jumping on it regardless of Kane’s situation.

I’d love to have him, but I can’t see Levy shelling out £30m for a player that would have no resell value. #thfc

Quality player but he misses too many games through injury to be worth that £.

Get it done, Spurs need more firepower in the final third
