A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Sunday People (11/4; page 47) claiming that Spurs are in the race to sign Boubakary Soumare.
Soumare looks to be in a fantastic position to end the campaign as a title-winner. Lille are three points clear of PSG with six games remaining in Ligue 1.
And it may not be too long before the 22-year-old is offered the chance to move to the Premier League. The Sunday People has suggested that several sides are keen.
According to that report, Tottenham want the France under-21 international, who is also on Manchester United’s radar. However, it is Leicester City who apparently lead the race.
The Sunday People claimed that the Foxes are confident of striking a £30 million deal for the midfielder.
But judging by the reaction to the reports, it would appear that many Spurs fans would love Daniel Levy to do all he can to scupper Leicester’s hopes.
Several have taken to social media to insist that he would be the ideal addition to their midfield. And they feel that if he is available for anything like £30 million, Tottenham would be foolish not to push the boat out to try and bring him to North London.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
