A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to a report from German outlet Kicker claiming that Jesse Marsch has rejected the chance to succeed Jose Mourinho.
Daniel Levy’s search for Mourinho’s successor does not appear to have got off to the best start. The Telegraph reported that Julian Nagelsmann was their top target.

Unfortunately, Nagelsmann is heading to Bayern Munich. According to Fabrizio Romano, the German turned down an approach from Spurs.
And it seems that he is not the only one.

According to Kicker, Red Bull Salzburg boss Marsch has also knocked back Tottenham. It is claimed that he is set to succeed Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig.
The 47-year-old has done an excellent job in Austria, winning the league and cup double in his first year.
Nevertheless, many Spurs fans have taken Marsch’s reported decision as an ominous sign.
The American is hardly the name with the highest profile to have been linked with the job. In fact, a look on social media would suggest that there are plenty of Tottenham supporters who know very little about him.
Of course, going from Salzburg to Leipzig is an obvious move. But the supporters still feel concerned to see someone of Marsch’s stature reportedly turn Spurs down.
