A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to laud Erik Lamela after the attacker marked his Sevilla debut with two goals on Sunday.
Tottenham Hotspur fans were given plenty to smile about over the weekend. Of course, the highlight came as Nuno Espirito Santo’s men beat Manchester City in their Premier League opener.

On the bench against the champions was Bryan Gil. The Spaniard arrived in a deal that saw Lamela move the other way to Sevilla.
And his bow for the Andalusians came later on in the day as they faced Rayo Vallecano. And it could have hardly gone better for the Argentinian.

The 29-year-old came off the bench at the break. And he went on to score twice in a 3-0 win for Julen Lopetegui’s men.
The first came thanks to a wicked deflection. And he doubled his tally by sliding in to get on the end of Youssef En-Nesyri’s cross.
Remarkably, that was Lamela’s first brace since May 2018 when Spurs beat Leicester 5-4.
Plenty of Tottenham fans have lauded their former star and expressed their delight that he has started well.
