Spurs fans hope ‘future star’ Oliver Skipp returns to fitness soon after injury update

Tottenham fans have taken to social media to wish Oliver Skipp a speedy recovery following news that the midfielder has undergone surgery to fix a fracture in his foot.

Spurs confirmed on their official website that the 20-year-old academy graduate, who is currently out on loan with Norwich City, has gone under the knife to repair a metatarsal fracture sustained with the Canaries, with Skipp playing 45 league games for the club this season, starting all but one of them.

Skipp has been a revelation for Norwich this season as they clinched promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and Tottenham supporters are eager for the England youth international to claim a first-team spot next year when the midfielder returns to north London, with fans also hoping he recovers from the injury speedly.

Skipp could miss the first few weeks of pre-season given the nature of his injury, which usually requires six weeks to fully recover from post-surgery.
