Spurs are reportedly trying to sign Miralem Pjanic on loan, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
With a new manager in the Tottenham dugout and a managing director of football in place, attention can now turn to new players.
And Pjanic, who is apparently on Fabio Paratici’s radar was once deemed the “best free-kick taker in the world”.

According to Sport, Barcelona are planning to offload the 31-year-old in order to help reduce the squad size.
Pjanic is apparently generating a lot of interest from Italy and England.
And Paratici, who knows the Bosnia & Herzegovina ace from their time at Juventus, has reportedly enquired about a loan move.
Spurs reportedly eyeing midfielder with “incredible quality”
Pjanic joined Barca from Juve for a reported £54m at the end of last season.
However, he failed to break into the team consistently under Ronald Koeman.
Prior to joining Barca, Pjanic shone at Metz, Lyon, Roma and Juve.
A talented, creative, and tenacious midfielder, Pjanic boasts several key attributes including passing, dribbling skills, great vision and an eye for goal.
And then there’s his free kick ability, which earned the highest praise from none other than Juninho Pernambucano back in 2015.

“Mire has incredible quality,” Juninho, widely considered to be the greatest set-piece specialist of all time, told L’Equipe, via the official Roma website.
“He’s maybe the best free-kick taker in the world today… no I’m sure of it – he is the best.
“He’s very efficient and, above all, consistent. That’s the most difficult part.
“He has a lot of variation in his strikes. He’s able to shoot in different ways depending on the distance.”
