At just £36m, Spurs must sign 21-year-old who 'will be the best striker' in the world alongside Haaland - TBR View
Spurs endured a nightmare season last time out, no doubt about that.
Tottenham delivered moments of quality but they were few and far between.
In the end, Spurs qualified for Europe only because UEFA had created a new competition.
And once again Tottenham finished empty-handed, leaving the best striker in the world without a single major trophy to his name at age 27.
Despite all this, Spurs are showing signs of recovery, with the esteemed Fabio Paratici joining the club.
Paratici had worked wonders at Juventus and now he’s hoping to do the same at N17.
In addition, Tottenham’s search for a new manager is finally over after more than two months.
Former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has taken the reins at Spurs.
Progress in the boardroom and in the dugout, but what about on the pitch, namely new recruits?
If reports about one particular player are true, Spurs could soon make a big statement of intent towards their Premier League rivals.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham have made a bid for Dusan Vlahovic.
The Fiorentina striker, who netted 21 goals in 40 appearances last season, is reportedly valued at just £36million, according to football.london.
Vlahovic was named Serie A Best Young Player om 2020-21 after his fine form for the Viola.
And Paratici reportedly wants to make the Serbia international his first big-money signing at Tottenham.
Spurs reportedly after “one of the strongest” strikers in Europe
According to Italy legend Christian Vieri, Vlahovic is comparable to the likes of Erling Braut Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
“I think that, after Haaland and Mbappe, he’s one of the strongest in Europe,” he said on his Twitch channel.
“He has quality, technique. He is Serbian and they are all technically good. They are called the Brazilians of the east.”
Former Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic recently told Football Italia: “He will be the best striker of the next few years with Erling Haaland.”
Vlahovic is a talented striker who looks destined for stardom, and if Spurs land him, things would get exciting at N17.
At just 21, he boasts an impressive goalscoring tally and is already being compared to the likes of Haaland and Mbappe.
