Japhet Tanganga was amongst a host of Tottenham Hotspur teammates who sent messages congratulating Dane Scarlett after the forward took to Instagram following his Premier League debut on Sunday.
Scarlett has already secured his spot in Spurs’ history books this season. The 16-year-old became the club’s youngest player when he came on in the Europa League in November.

That record has since been taken by Alfie Devine. But Scarlett was able to tick off another landmark moment in his fledgling career at the weekend.
The striker came on for the final moments of Tottenham’s 2-0 win over West Brom on Sunday.

As shown by Whoscored.com, he actually did not manage to get a touch of the ball while on the pitch. But it is still a fantastic moment for the teenager.
Unsurprisingly, he was keen to take to Instagram to mark the occasion. And his fantastic attitude came across as he insisted that the hard work continues…
In response, a number of teammates sent messages of congratulations. There were also reactions from Omari Hutchinson and Thierry Small who are coming through at Arsenal and Everton respectively…

Mourinho will be wary of putting too much pressure on Scarlett. He is still developing. To put his age in context, he was barely two months old when Mourinho guided Porto to the Champions League title in 2004.
But he could not have a better player to learn from than Harry Kane. And it would be a surprise if Sunday proved to be the last time he featured for the first-team this season.
