Spurs coaches are convinced that Troy Parrott can become the next Harry Kane, according to 90Min.

Indeed, the Tottenham coaches have reportedly urged Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici not to sign anyone who could block his first-team pathway.

Parrott is one of the most highly rated players to come through the Spurs ranks and has already made four senior appearances for Tottenham.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan at League One side Milton Keynes Dons and has already got himself three goals and four assists.

In 2019-20, an injury crisis up front led some Spurs fans to call for Parrott to feature in the Premier League.

Former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho resisted those calls and, in hindsight, it looked like a good decision.

Parrott has needed a little more time to develop his game, and he’s progressing nicely, as per his impressive tally at MK.

Prior to his current loan spell in Buckinghamshire, he endured frustrating stints at Millwall and Ipswich last term.

According to 90Min, Spurs coaches’ belief in Parrott remains sky-high and reckon he has the potential to follow in Kane’s footsteps.

Kane, like Parrott, spent time in the Championship and League One, honing his craft with Leyton Orient, Millwall and Leicester.
