Tottenham Hotspur appear to have dropped a hint on their Twitter feed suggesting Gareth Bale will feature for Jose Mourinho’s side on Sunday.
The 31-year-old rejoined Spurs on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid in mid-September, a move which saw the media spotlight shine brightly on the white half of North London.
Bale has been working his way back up to fitness after picking up a knee injury on Wales duty prior to his switch to Tottenham, and continued to train with the club during the international break.
With Spurs returning to Premier League action West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club shared a picture of Bale in training alongside coach Ledley King, plus the caption “all eyes on Sunday”.
Cue plenty of excited Spurs fans:
Tottenham have had a very good window, strengthening their ranks all across the board, from Joe Hart in goal to Carlos Vinicius up front.
As far as marquee signings go, however, Bale to Spurs is right up there – the one-time most expensive player in the world and serial winner with one of the planet’s most famous teams, returning to club where he became a star.
And best of all, Tottenham have been in fine goalscoring form these last few weeks, so the prospect of adding Bale to a line-up featuring Harry Kane and Son heung-min is exciting to say the least.
