Spurs agree £21.4m deal for player on Old Trafford radar - report
Spurs have agreed a £21.4million deal for Pape Matar Sarr, according to Get French Football News.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with the Metz midfielder over the past few days.
And it looks as though Spurs have finally got their man, judging by speculation doing the rounds right now.
Tottenham will reportedly pay the French club a fee in the region of £14.6million plus add-ons.
And GFFN claims the deal is “€25million (£21.4million) all-in, including bonuses that they consider to be realistically attainable”.
As part of the deal, Sarr won’t play for Spurs this season – he’ll continue to ply his trade for Metz on loan.
Manchester United have also been linked with Sarr in recent weeks.
Last week, Romano told The United Stand: “I am told when I’m asking about this kind of player that Manchester United are scouting him.
“The answer is always ‘remember we are scouting like 200 players in one year so it’s normal for top clubs to contact this kind of player.’
“I don’t see it as imminent but it could be an opportunity for the future.”
