Arsenal supporters have praised Ian Wright following his response to the news last night that the Gunners would be one of the 12 teams competing in a European Super League.
News broke yesterday from The Times that Arsenal, along with the rest of the ‘Big Six’ in the Premier League as well as the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus, had all signed up to participate in a breakaway European Super League separated from the UEFA Champions League, which could have major ramifications should the proposed tournament go ahead.

Footballing bodies and government around the continent have condemned the planned competitions as reported by BBC Sport, and Wright took to Twitter to voice his disagreement with the club on their decision to compete in a European Super League, which could see Arsenal be kicked out of both UEFA competitions and the Premier League next season.
Arsenal fans were fully behind Wright in his criticism of the club, and here’s what some had to say on Twitter…
