Leeds United are reportedly keen on a move for Norwegian talent Emil Bohinen. The under-21 international, whose father is former Nottingham Forest player Lars Bohinen, is a transfer target this month, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The 20-year-old Stabaek starlet can play in both the centre of midfield and on the wing and is considered a top target for the Whites.
He previously had a spell on trial at Sheffield United, at which point Leeds were also said to be keen, but now January has rolled around it would seem the West Yorkshire side have the initiative.

It would seem a very plausible deal for Leeds. Bohinen is out of contract in December of this year, meaning his current club are running out of time should they wish to cash in on his services.
But what did his current club’s sporting director say about his future back in November. Inge Andre Olsen seemed optimistic about keeping Bohinen through the January window when talking to Eurosport toward the end of last year.
“It’s natural that there will be interest given his performances for both Stabæk and the U21 national team.
“He appears very mature both on and off the field. He’s the most exciting player in the Eliteserien right now, I think.
” In Emil’s case, we work very well and actively with agents. It is not, therefore, given that he will be sold in January, there is a lot to be said. But we will have a very nice dialogue with him around this.”
But it does seem as though Stabaek are reluctantly accepting of the fact they will likely have to sell Bohinen soon.
Leeds fans will hope that happens this month, as they clearly need extra bodies in their hunt for Championship promotion.
