Brendan Rodgers has singled out Christian Fuchs for special praise after Leicester City’s impressive start to the season.
Leicester City have had an impressive start to the season. The Foxes sit second in the Premier League, just one point behind leaders Liverpool after seven games.

Brendan Rodgers, though, is not surprised that his players are looking good. He mentioned a few standout performers ahead of Leicester’s meeting with Braga, reserving particular praise for Christian Fuchs.
The 34-year-old didn’t start the season as a first-choice player but has found himself in the lineup recently. Fuchs, who excelled as a left-back in Leicester’s title-winning season, has been playing as a centre-half, however.
That clearly has impressed Rodgers quite a bit.
“Christian Fuchs is such a special player,” he said, per Sky Sports. “His training, mindset, his focus every day and wherever he has been asked to play, whether it’s left-back or left-sided centre-half, he does an amazing job.”
TBR View:
Managers simply adore players like this. Fuchs, deep into his career, is adapting his game and doing what’s needed. This is a player who doesn’t need to prove himself to Leicester, either – he’s a title winner.
But Fuchs is working for the team, rather than himself. In doing so, he allows the team to switch up its system to three-at-the-back while including his experience in a relatively young team.
It’s no wonder, then, that Rodgers is impressed. Fuchs may not get the plaudits of some but he’s certainly one of the reasons they’re playing well.
