Mikel Arteta lauded Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice after his last-minute winner against Luton Town last night.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Video, the Arsenal boss admitted the midfielder’s late goal at Kenilworth Road was a ‘special’ moment for his side.
The Gunners left it late to pick up a 4-3 win ay Luton after a chaotic 97 minutes of action. Arsenal found themselves 3-2 down in the 57th minute after they had taken the lead twice in the first half.
Kai Havertz grabbed an equaliser on the hour mark but a stubborn defensive display from the Hatters kept Arsenal at bay until the dying seconds of the game.
Declan Rice popped up with his third goal in an Arsenal shirt at the perfect time for Mikel Arteta’s men.

The 24-year-old arrived late in the box to get on the end of an exceptional delivery from Martin Odegaard.
And Arteta feels the Englishman has already made a huge impact in North London.
Arteta lauds Rice after Arsenal beat Luton
Speaking after last night’s thriller at Kenilworth Road, Arteta singled out Rice for praise and feels his goal will only boost the midfielder’s confidence further.
“He is already making a big impact in the team and those moments are special,” Arteta told Prime Video.
“He has this quality, this aura about him to create these moments. This should give him even more confidence.”

Rice’s impact at Arsenal is undeniable after making a big-money switch to the Emirates Stadium from West Ham over the summer.
Indeed, he’s recently been lauded as the best player in the Premier League this season and he continues to impress in the middle of the park.
The England star has added some much-needed bite to Arsenal’s midfield and he’s helping Arteta’s men pick up wins while not being at their best this season.
The Gunners have now moved five points clear at the top of the table and there seems to be a different feeling around their title credentials this time around.
