Spain are trying to poach Arsenal’s Charlie Patino.
The Hale End product has received many plaudits in recent weeks and could be in line for a senior debut.
As a result of his meteoric rise at the start of this season, the Spanish FA are set to attempt to poach the midfielder.
Patino has featured for England at U17 level previously but is eligible for Spain through his father (Daily Mail).
Patino is certainly one for the future and could be a name to keep an eye on.
This is an incredibly talented midfielder who has even been likened to England and Manchester City star Phil Foden (The Sun).

Patino could even go on to follow in Foden’s footsteps in the near future.
If the teenager is able to establish himself as a regular in the senior squad he could well make his breakthrough with England.
That would only be if he rejects the approaches from the Spanish FA.
In the near future we could see the young Arsenal man become a household name amongst fans.
He signed for Arsenal’s academy at the age of just 11-years-old from Luton Town.
However, Arsenal had to beat the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham to his signature.
To have that sort of interest in you at that age is unheard of and Patino has continued to develop.
The world might get to see what he can do this evening against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.
Although even if the 17-year-old doesn’t debut tonight, he’s still worth getting excited about.
It will be a promising sign for the player that many Hale End prospects are now in the senior side.
The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe have kicked on and are now huge names at Arsenal.
That could be where Patino is in the years to come.
