Southampton are reportedly joining the transfer race to sign Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld from Club Brugge this summer.
As reported by Voetbal International, the Dutch international is on Saints’ radar ahead of the new season. The report claims that Stade Rennais, AC Milan and Tottenham are also interested in the player. Meanwhile, Inter Milan have reportedly made an inquiry about his availability.
But Southampton have also joined the hunt and will feel confident they could get a move done.
The 22-year-old fits the club’s profile as a young and exciting talent. Ralph Hasenhuttl would certainly like Groeneveld on board.
The player himself confirmed to VI yesterday that he was considering a move away from Belgium this summer. He wants to play at a ‘step higher’ and Premier League football would certainly qualify.

Southampton fans might also like to know that Groeneveld is highly rated by former Saints boss Ronald Koeman.
Koeman handed Groeneveld his first Netherlands caps at the start of last season. The winger rewarded Koeman with a goal in his second cap against Belgium.
Unfortunately, an ankle injury stopped his selection in the next round of international fixtures. But going forward he is still a player Koeman has in mind.
Whilst Southampton fans may not have liked the way the Dutch legend left the club, there’s no doubt Koeman had an eye for a good transfer.
Hopefully, Groeneveld can be another Koeman loved talent to thrive at Southampton.
