Southampton’s initial resurgence under Ralph Hasenhuttl was propelled by a stunning comeback win against Arsenal in December, but there was to be no repeat at the Emirates Stadium yesterday.

The Saints’ trip to north London yesterday was pretty much over before it had begun, as two first half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan got the job done for the home side.
