Southampton produced a battling display but fell to a 5-2 defeat to runaway leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Afterwards, Saints fans took to Twitter to rave about the performance of youngster Nathan Tella.
The academy graduate was introduced at half-time during last night’s contest and earnt some rave reviews for his display.
Tella has made 10 appearances in the Premier League this season, with just two coming in the way of starting berths.
Based on his performance against Pep Guardiola’s team another start in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team might not be too far away.

Southampton have some quality youngsters coming through the ranks and Tella looks like being the latest in a long line.
The 21-year-old has one assist in 13 games for the Saints and has also spent time on the books at Arsenal, Norwich and Reading.
He has taken his first-team bow at St Mary’s though and supporters raved about him in the second half last night.
