Southampton reached the quarter-final of the FA Cup last night with a brilliant 2-0 win over Wolves at Molineux. Strikes from Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong set up a tie with Bournemouth in the last eight.

The Saints bounced back after a tough few weeks with a performance that Ralph Hasenhuttl has become accustomed to his team producing on a regular basis.

Wolves were never really at the races and but for some good defending they might have lost by a bigger margin.

The Saints will see the FA Cup as a real opportunity to do something – and it would hand them a route into Europe for next season.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all avoided each other, however, so the semi-finals could prove tricky to negotiate.

First, they must defeat Bournemouth who currently have Jonathan Woodgate in charge on a temporary basis.

One man who was bang up for last night’s match was right-back Kyle Walker-Peters who returned to the team with a bang.

He had missed the last four games through injury but returned to the team last night to pick up where he left off.

After the game, supporters took to Twitter to rave about the £40,000-a-week star and here is what they were saying.
