A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Jannik Vestergaard’s display as the Saints came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 on Monday night.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men bounced back from their disappointing defeat in their previous game. However, they did not get off to the best start, going a goal down after an early penalty.

But James Ward Prowse atoned for his handball just before the break. The midfielder’s corner was headed home by Vestergaard for the equaliser.
And while Southampton’s winner came from a controversial penalty decision in their favour, it should not be forgotten that Vestergaard played a stunning long-range pass to Kyle Walker-Peters before the right-back was brought down.

It was an outstanding display from the centre-back, who had a point to prove after some mistakes last weekend.
As shown by Whoscored.com, he won 10 aerial duels. That was seven more than any other player on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Moussa Djenepo was his only teammate to complete a greater number of successful dribbles than the Dane. There were also five clearances and three interceptions from the 28-year-old.
Vestergaard – who earns £60,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – has looked like a different player this season. And plenty of supporters felt that he produced another fantastic display in their latest win…
