Southampton completed the signing of Real Valladolid central defender Mohammed Salisu last night fro £10.9 million, according to BBC Sport.
The Saints made the second addition to their defence this week following closely after the signing of Kyle Walker-Peters who made his loan permanent.
Salisu, 21 made 32 appearances for the La Liga-based outfit and arrives at St Mary’s with a glowing reputation.
The Ghanaian came through the ranks at Valladolid but will now embark on his journey into the Premier League with the Saints.
Boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will hope he can prove integral next season, with the Saints looking to improve on their 11th place showing last time around.

Southampton were playing some decent football during the final months of the season, finishing the 2019/20 campaign with seven unbeaten games.
The challenge for 2020/21 will be to ensure they start better, with last season’s poor start compounded by a 9-0 defeat to Leicester City in October.
Salisu should certainly help them at the back though and the powerful defender’s arrival has certainly got Saints supporters talking.
Here is a selection of reactions from Twitter after the combative defender checks in at St Mary’s ahead of next season.
