Southampton have confirmed the 26-player party that will travel to Austria for the club’s pre-season tour on their official website.
The likes of Cedric and Wesley Hoedt have been included in the squad, but two absentees caught the eye of many supporters – Mario Lemina and Charlie Austin.
Lemina is talented but the Daily Mirror recently quoted him as saying that he would be open to leaving St Mary’s this summer, after a tough end to the season.
Meanwhile, Austin is more of a pure poacher than the all-round workhorse striker Ralph Hasenhuttl needs for his high-tempo Saints vision.

But as Southampton put the news out on their official Twitter account, many supporters felt that the omission of Lemina and Austin meant that the pair will leave the club this summer.
There was more disappointment at Lemina’s potential exit than Austin’s – the midfielder has the ability to be a big player for Southampton, while Austin looks to have been sliding away for months.
But many Saints fans feel they’ve spotted a transfer clue and with Hasenhuttl now in his first summer window in which he can reshape his squad, it’s not a surprise that the changes are in the offing…
