A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun over the weekend suggesting that Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion want Michael Obafemi.
Obafemi played a fairly prominent role for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side last season. He only made eight Premier League starts, but he made a further 13 appearances from the bench.

The 20-year-old scored three league goals and provided two assists. And it appears that he could be offered the chance to move on this summer.
The Sun suggests that both Villa and the Baggies want the Republic of Ireland international. And it is claimed that £10 million should be enough to convince the Saints to sell.

It remains to be seen if either club is willing to meet Obafemi’s asking price. But it does appear that the Southampton supporters will be divided whatever happens.
Plenty have taken to social media to suggest that the Saints must not sell Obafemi. Some believe that he has a lot of potential and sanctioning a £10 million sale would be a mistake.
‘Take that all day’
However, there are also fans who would be extremely happy with a £10 million fee for the youngster.
He has not been prolific during his time in the first-team, and some believe that an eight-figure fee would be a brilliant piece of business.
Here is how some of the Southampton fans have reacted to the reports…
