Jan Bednarek completed 90 minutes in the dramatic away win over Leicester City on Saturday – and some of the Southampton fans on Twitter went wild about the quality of his performance.
The Saints recorded a 2-1 away victory in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium, as they climbed to 16th in the table.
James Ward-Prowse scored an early penalty to give the visitors the lead and Shane Long added a second on the stroke of half-time.
But Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side had to play the entire second period with just 10 men after youngster Jan Valery was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Southampton defended resiliently in the second-half despite a goal from Wilfred Ndidi and earned a much-needed three points.

A selection of Southampton fans on social media singled out Bednarek for special praise after his display in defence.
The 22-year-old made numerous blocks and interceptions against Leicester, while also making a stunning goal-line clearance to save his side.
He is a Poland international that has managed to force his way into the team in recent games and is becoming a bit of a cult hero at St Mary’s.
