Romelu Lukaku can have off days

The Belgian was well controlled by Virgil Van Dijk in the Saints backline, with his only shot coming from a free-kick, and managed just 70% pass completion ratio which reflected his torrid afternoon as he failed in his only dribble and lost out in three aerial duels.

Booked for dissent as he lost the ball in his own half late on, Ronald Koeman would certainly have been expecting more from the big man, who could only watch on as Charlie Austin continued his fine form with a great performance at the other end of the field.
