Everton and West Ham are reportedly keen on signing RB Leipzig attacker Hee-Chan Hwang after just one season with the east German side.
According to German outlet Sport1, the 34-time South Korea international is on the list for multiple Premier League sides heading into the summer transfer window, with Everton and West ham two of the clubs mentioned as potential suitors to the 25-year-old striker, who joined Leipzig last summer from sister club RB Salzburg, where Hwang played alongside Erling Haaland.

Despite playing alongside one of the hottest properties in world football, Hwang’s time in Germany hasn’t been as successful as his former Salzburg teammate, with the striker scoring just two goals for Leipzig, both of which came in the DFB Pokal.
This poor return could be a reason why Leipzig, who this week confirmed on their official website that head coach Julian Nagelsmann was leaving at the end of the season to join Bavarian giants Bayern Munich, are open to letting Hwang depart the club despite one year with Die Roten Bullen.

TBR View: Everton can allow West Ham to win race for Hwang
Although the report states that Ancelotti is keen on the South Korean attacker, the Everton manager might be better off allowing West Ham to win the race to sign the 25-year-old attacker.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has asserted himself as Everton’s number one striker this season, whilst West Ham are still looking for that man who can lead the line week-in week-out, and for the Hammers, that man could be Hwang.

With an abundance of creative players amongst their ranks such as Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and potentially Jesse Lingard, Hwang will have a great platform to rebuild his goalscoring confidence around, and with European football still on the cards for the east London side, West Ham could be a more attractive proposition for the Leipzig striker than Everton.
