Aaron Ramsdale is finally going to get his move away from Arsenal as he heads to Southampton.
Ramsdale’s move to Southampton is expected to be done before the transfer deadline.
The goalkeeper is leaving the Emirates one year on from being replaced by David Raya.
Ramsdale’s departure is probably overdue, but he does still need replacing.
Arsenal do have a target in mind to replace Ramsdale in the shape of Joan Garcia.
Garcia has been strongly linked to Arsenal throughout this summer, and the Gunners are ready to make their move for the goalkeeper.
However, with less than 48 hours of the window to go time is of the essence, and sources close to Garcia believe that it may be too late in the day to get this deal done.

Joan Garcia’s camp worried about Arsenal move
According to The Mirror’s Ryan Taylor, sources close to Garcia are worried that a move to Arsenal may not come off now.
There are concerns around the Garcia camp that there is a shortage of time left in this window, and Arsenal may therefore have to meet his £25m release clause.
Whether or not Arsenal want to cough up £25m for a second-choice goalkeeper remains to be seen. After all, David Raya is their number one and he cost a similar amount.
Arsenal don’t need Joan Garcia
Joan Garcia looks like a top goalkeeper.
However, it has to be said that Arsenal don’t necessarily need Garcia at this point in time.
The goalkeeper would replicate Aaron Ramsdale’s role of being a bench warmer at Arsenal, and you don’t need to be paying £25m for a player who’s barely going to get onto the pitch this season.
There are other goalkeepers who could do a similar job for a much lower fee.
Arsenal do need a new backup goalkeeper through the door before the transfer deadline, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be Garcia who they go after.
