Neal Maupay prefers a move to a Premier League club if he leaves Brentford this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
The report says that Maupay’s impressive form for the Bees has attracted interest from France, Italy and Germany but will insist upon a move into the English top flight if he moves in the current window.
In the report, it points out that the Bees are in a strong negotiating position because the Frenchman has two years remaining on his current deal and value him at close to £20 million.
Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Norwich City and Brighton are all named as clubs with an interest in Maupay, who can offer top flight football next term.

Maupay scored 25 league goals last season and when they come for a side that didn’t even make the Championship play-offs, there’s always going to be interest.
Much of that may come from top flight clubs hoping they can lure a second tier with the riches and attention that come with Premier League football.
Maupay doesn’t seem as if he’s agitating for a move but it’s undoubtedly a boost for Villa and the Blades that he would want to stay in England if he did make a switch in the coming months.
