Tottenham Hotspur are through to the semi-finals of the Europa League after getting the better of Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals.
The tie was evenly poised after Spurs and Eintracht drew 1-1 in North London last week, and it proved a low-scoring affair in the second leg too.
Tottenham scored what turned out to be the winner in the Europa League tie on 43 minutes.
Spurs were awarded a penalty after Eintracht goalkeeper Kaua Santos clattered into James Maddison, and Dominic Solanke converted from the spot.
Tottenham got through the tie without captain Son Heung-min, who has been nursing a foot problem that kept him out of the Wolves game too.
Not long after the final whistle confirmed Spurs’ place in the semi-finals, Son took to Instagram with a message for his teammates.

Son Heung-min ‘so proud’ of Tottenham teammates after Europa League win over Eintracht Frankfurt
Son took to Instagram stories to share the official Tottenham channel’s full-time graphic, along with a message of his own.
He wrote: “So so proud all of you!! Well done!! Let’s keep going,” along with an emoji of a white heart.
Son has played a big part in Spurs’ Europa League run so far, scoring a number of crucial goals including one in the 2-2 draw with Roma and a brace in the 3-2 win over Hoffenheim.
In addition, Son provided an assist in the 3-1 win over AZ that helped Spurs level the tie and eventually go on to win without needing to go to extra time.
Tottenham will face either Norwegian side FK Bodø/Glimt or Serie A’s Lazio in the semi-finals, which are set to take place on 1 May and 8 May.
The latest involving Son Heung-min’s injury
Ange Postecoglou confirmed before the Eintracht game that Son has been battling a foot issue for a number of weeks now.
“Sonny didn’t travel in the end,” said Postecoglou. “He is the only one who misses out.
“He has been battling with his foot problem for a few weeks now and has managed through it but it has got too painful in the last few days.
“He tried to train yesterday and it wasn’t right so we made the decision to leave him at home. He went home to recuperate.”
No potential return date has been provided for Son just yet.
