‘Something special’: Leeds fans buzzing about Joe Gelhardt following Wolves cameo

Joe Gelhardt was the man of the moment for Leeds United this afternoon, as Leeds drew 1-1 with Wolves thanks to a late Rodrigo penalty.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side continued their struggling start to the season and were made to pay as Hwang Hee-Chan scored a first-half goals for Bruno Lage’s men. It followed on from last week’s stunning late comeback against Aston Villa.

For Leeds, it was yet another poor day at the office. The Whites are struggling for creativity and goals, although youngster Gelhardt did his best to try and arrest that issue.

The youngster came on and put in a fine shift as he looked to make a big impact on proceedings. And in the end, Leeds and Gelhardt got their reward as the Spanish striker Rodrigo tucked in from 12 yards to rescue a point.

Gelhardt has become one of the most talked about talents at Thorp Arch in recent years. And judging by today’s display, it’s easy to see why.
