Former Liverpool and England midfielder Jamie Redknapp has expressed his desire to see Bayern Munich midfielder, Thiago, arrive at the club this summer.
The Spanish midfield star is still a Bayern Munich player despite being linked with a move to Anfield for a number of months now.

It is thought that Liverpool is struggling to meet the German club’s £30m asking-price for Thiago. However, this is something Redknapp clearly feels should be paid as he waxed lyrical over the former Barcelona man on Sky Sports.
“Thiago would give them something completely different, he’s one of the best midfield players in the world. He dictates the play, plays at his own pace.
“Sometimes, especially when you go to tough places in the Premier League, you cannot beat teams by going 100 mph all the time, you need a little bit of finesse and for someone to do things differently.”
Thiago has recently helped Bayernt to the Champions League trophy following another masterclass display for the Bundesliga champions.

And that was something that Redknapp highlighted as an example of the Spaniard’s quality and what he could bring to Liverpool.
“We saw him in the Champions League final where he completely bossed the game, had so many touches of the ball and made the game look easy.”
It remains to be seen, then, if Jurgen Klopp does eventually wind up getting his man with the season only weeks away.

This is one of the most bizarre stories of the summer, especially if the rumours of Liverpool being unwilling to pay the money are true.
£30m for a player of Thiago’s quality is an absolute steal. Indeed, it seems so bizarre that the Premier League champions don’t have that money in the kitty to improve their squad.
If Liverpool don’t land Thiago, you get the feeling there is going to be a big feeling of regret around Anfield.
