Arsenal haven’t done anything in the January transfer window.
However, fear not, a quiet January can often mean a busy summer, and Arsenal will have work to do by the time the end of the season comes around.
Indeed, the Gunners have work to do this summer, most notably needing a new striker through the door before too long.
Speaking on Sky Sports News (1/2/24 2:43PM), Paul Merson has been discussing who he wants to see Arsenal sign this summer, and he named Dominic Solanke as a player he’d like to see come to the Emirates this summer.

Merson wants Solanke in
The pundit spoke about the £19m man potentially coming to Arsenal.
“If Solanke keeps doing what he is doing and finishes the back end like he’s started recently. If he has that back end of the season I would like someone like him. You have to bring someone in who has played in this league,’ Merson said.
Deserves a move
If, as Merson says, Solanke can keep his form up between now and the end of the season then he will absolutely deserve a move to a big club like Arsenal.
Solanke has been utterly brilliant so far this season, and after a campaign like this, he may rightly feel he’s ready to make the next step in his career.
With Arsenal in need of a goalscoring number nine, perhaps a call will come in from Mikel Arteta this summer.
This could well be one to watch in the next transfer window as Arsenal, once again, look to spend big.
