'Someone let Bielsa know': Leeds fans react to Joe Gelhardt England call
Leeds United youngster Joe Gelhardt has been given a call to the England under-21 squad and some Whites fans have been having their say on Twitter.
Gelhardt, 19, is seen as one of the most promising young talents to be emerging from Thorp Arch. After signing from Wigan, the teenager has made vast progress and is on the brink of a first-team call.
Confirmed by Leeds’ website, Gelhardt will join up with the under-21s alongside Elland Road teammate Charlie Cresswell. It is a knowing nod from Lee Carsley to the Leeds forward.
Gelhardt will be hoping to impress and send a message to Marcelo Bielsa, who is already more than aware of his talents. Leeds fans, then, have been speaking on Twitter about when they might see Gelhardt themselves.
The youngster is causing so much excitement at Elland Road and his under-21 call is surely another positive step towards a Premier League debut.
Here, then, is what some Leeds fans had to say on the matter.
