Some West Ham United fans have been reacting on social media, after talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy suggested Southampton striker Danny Ings would be perfect for David Moyes.
The Irons are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements as Michail Antonio is the club’s only recognised senior striker, and have been without the 31-year-old for 12 Premier League fixtures this term due to a string of hamstring injuries.
Ings has been linked with a potential move to the London Stadium amid doubt in his future at St. Mary’s, with talkSPORT previously claiming the £75,000-per-week (Spotrac) frontman is an alternative target to Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and Everton’s Joshua King.

Cundy is a huge fan of Ings and vigorously believes he is “too good” to be playing for a side threatened by relegation, and suggests a move to play under Moyes would be ideal for all.
“I think West Ham would be perfect,” Cundy said. “In whatever team you put him in, he will score goals, but West ham feels a nice fit. It’s a bit of a conundrum for him, but he has made noises he wants to leave and that would be a great move for him.”
Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl remains hopeful that Ings will yet sign a new contract and stay at the club this summer (Standard), with his current terms set to expire next year, and a new deal is expected (talkSPORT) should one of Manchester United or City not chase a transfer.
Man City have long been credited with interest in Ings, with Sky Sports reporting earlier in the year that the England international was being lined up as a potential replacement for Sergio Aguero with the Argentine leaving the Etihad Stadium.
Ings has scored 12 goals in 26 Premier League appearances this season to rank 10th in the Golden Boot race, but has missed nine games to add to a mounting list of injuries sustained.
Here’s how these West Ham fans reacted to Cundy suggesting Ings as the perfect striker for Moyes to target…
