Some West Ham United fans have been reacting on social media after David Moyes claimed Said Benrahma has a lot to learn after Sunday’s defeat to Everton.
The Algerian dynamo was awarded a starting role for the visit of Carlo Ancelotti’s Toffees to the London Stadium after registering his fifth Premier League assist in victory over Burnley, but remains without a goal in claret and blue.
He was presented with a glorious chance to end his drought in the first period of the weekend’s 1-0 loss when found by Pablo Fornals in the box, yet Benrahma failed to keep his header down despite having plenty of time to choose his spot.

Jordan Pickford had already thwarted the £23,000-per-week (Spotrac) playmaker earlier in the half when the England number one beat Benrahma’s shot behind for a corner, in the only instance where the Algerian forced a save.
Benrahma has also only started 13 of his 27 top-flight appearances since joining the Irons in a £30m (BBC) deal in October, with Moyes often favouring the seven-cap international from the bench with his previous four cameos totalling a combined 54 minutes.
The Hammers boss saw enough from Benrahma against Everton to replace the 25-year-old with Andriy Yarmolenko entering the final quarter of an hour, and went on to tell the media what more he wants to see from the former Brentford winger.
“The Premier League is demanding so this is a big step up for Said, as it was for Jarrod Bowen,” Moyes said, via quotes by football.london. “He has had some great performances for us, but he has a lot to learn.”
Benrahma scored 17 goals and offered nine assists in 43 Championship appearances last season, building on his return of 10 goals and 15 assists in 38 outings the previous term.
Here’s how these West Ham fans responded to Moyes’ claim that Benrahma has a lot to learn…
