Some West Ham United fans made a cheeky transfer plea after the club uploaded a picture of Declan Rice and Norwich City defender Max Aarons on Twitter.
The club consigned the Canaries back to the Championship on Saturday after beating them 4-0, with all four goals coming from Michail Antonio.
It was a devastating day for Norwich, and the disappointment on their end was palpable.
Daniel Farke’s side adopted an admirable brand of attacking football but ultimately, they leaked far too many goals leading to too many defeats.
After the final whistle, Rice – wearing the captain’s armband – was seen consoling the Norwich players, and the club’s official Twitter uploaded a picture of him with an arm around Aarons with the caption ‘First class’.
This prompted a number of West Ham fans to respond with ‘Agent Dec’, suggesting they wouldn’t mind seeing the full-back signed as one of their own.
Attack-minded Aarons has caught the eye on several occasions for Norwich this season, and speculative reports about his future have been plentiful – The Daily Mail recently suggesting his value to be around £30 million.

West Ham arguably do have need to invest in a new right-back this summer, with Pablo Zabaleta having left on expiry of his contract.
With Norwich’s fate now sealed, it would be unsurprising to see a tug-of-war break out over Aarons, whose potential is clear.
