Celtic completed the signing of Kyogo Furuhashi on Friday – and some fans of J1-League club Vissel Kobe are extremely complimentary of his quality.
The Hoops confirmed on their official website today that they have signed Furuhashi on a four year deal from Vissel Kobe.
The 26-year-old attacker has made a move to Parkhead on a permanent basis to bolster the options for new Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou.
Furuhashi, who has three goals in six caps for Japan’s senior national side, arrives with a glowing reputation.
The versatile forward can play as a winger or central striker. He scored 15 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions last season.
Postecoglou will be hoping that his new Japanese signing can hit the ground running. He knows the pressure is going to be on him from day one in Scotland.

Furuhashi is a fairly unknown talent to Scottish audiences, but Vissel Kobe fans are praising the player’s ability following his departure.
He netted 48 goals in 110 appearances during his career for them, so the Celtic fanbase will be intrigued to see how he copes. He’s adding much-needed depth n the forward positions.
