Some Tottenham fans react to transfer links with Bonucci
Some Tottenham fans were reacting after the club were linked with a transfer for Leonardo Bonucci.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Lilywhites are interested in signing the Italian centre-half. They’ve grown eager about a move for the 34-year-old over the last few weeks.
Bonucci was a stalwart last season, featuring 35 times across all competitions. But, muscle issues and Coronavirus meant the ace was sparcely used in the second half of the campaign.
TBR View: Bonucci transfer would be a Tottenham masterstroke
The signing of Bonucci would add experience at the back end of the pitch for Tottenham, whose defence proved quite feeble last season.
The veteran has a wealth of experience which can help the side’s performances and the youth development.
David Luiz and Thiago Silva have shown how important veteran centre-halves can be to a team in recent seasons. Arsenal lifted the FA Cup whilst Chelsea won the Champions League.
