Some Tottenham Hotspur fans reacted after Nuno Espirito Santo’s comments on Harry Kane.

Nuno told Sky Sports the centre-forward is fit to face Manchester City this Sunday.

The England international only returned to pre-season training last weekend.

Kane was supposed to return last Monday. However, he enjoyed an extended break in the Bahamas and Florida.

It meant the 28-year-old was forced to stay and train alone at The Lodge.

However, just a week of training seems to be enough for the 28-year-old, according to his manager.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Portuguese coach has claimed Tottenham’s star man is fit for this Sunday.

When talking about his ‘disappointing‘ star man, Nuno said: “All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it’s up to us to decide.”

Professional footballers need the utmost care when it comes to how they are used. And used wrongly, there can be catastrophic results.

Muscle injuries are a common theme nowadays, and using Kane this Sunday for Tottenham would be an irresponsible move from Nuno.

There is no chance the star man is fully fit to take part in such a high-level clash. For starters, he has been training alone due to his late arrival from holiday.

He has not adjusted to the Portuguese coach’s tactics, both in his own mind or alongside his teammates on the field.

But you understand why the Spurs coach would want to include him in the side. Leaving Kane out will only heighten speculation over a move to the Etihad Stadium.
