Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to rival Liverpool for the services of wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga during the summer and their fans have been reacting on Twitter.

According to Sport, the 17-year-old whizz is set to be the subject of vast interest with Premier League interest coming from Anfield and Spurs.

Jose Mourinho will be keen to have a reshuffle within his squad and the midfielder could be a summer target.

Camavinga has played 36 games in all competitions this season and it’s expected that he will become a star.

The youngster typically plays in the holding role in front of the back four but his athleticism means he can operate further forward.

Tottenham will need some signings in the summer. The 2019/20 campaign has descended into chaos with several injuries to key players.

Mourinho will get time at the club. Replacing Mauricio Pochettino was never going to be easy and with a few additions, they can be right back up there.

When play was suspended, Spurs were seven points shy of Chelsea, having just been thrashed by RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

With that in mind, the signing of Camavinga seems to make sense.

Rennes want £46.2 million for the midfielder, however. As a result, Spurs might look elsewhere for a cheaper option.

He would be a sound investment and Tottenham supporters would certainly love to see him signed.
